Greenwood staff members have been carefully chosen because of their experience, education and commitment to creating and carrying out a challenging program.
All of our lead teachers have at least their CDA or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Staff training includes course work in early childhood education, human growth and development and methods of teaching.
Our Senior Staff have taken a Day Care I & II certification class, equivalent to 90 clock hours, from an accredited institution. They also have to take at least one 3 hour workshop each year, are 20 years of age and have worked for one year in a preschool/day care setting after completing the Day Care I & II certification.
Our teacher aides assist the teachers in the classroom activities as well as work individually with students.
The ratios for each class differ depending on the age of the children. The ratios are as follows:
| Infant room: | 3 staff to 6 children |
| Toddler room: | 3 staff to 9 children |
| Two year olds: | 3 staff to 15 children |
| Three year olds: | 3 staff to 17 children |
