The Greenwood School is an active community participant. Examples are:

• Collecting clothing for the Northwestern High School Teen Parent Program and Prince George's County Family Resource Center
• Hosting a Help the Homeless Mini-Walk to benefit Shepherd's Table
• Collecting for the Coat Drive sponsored by Prince George's County Police and One Warm Coat
• Collecting items to create Thanksgiving Baskets for families in need - a project sponsored by Prince George's Child Resource Center, Inc.
• Collecting toys for the Sonny Frazier Toy Drive (see attached thank you letter)
• Collecting food for the Crossover Church food pantry
• Purchasing books for the Northwestern Childcare Center
